What does everyone care? I thought doing martial arts was about getting the skills, was about you pesonally doing something that was beyond your wardrobe. So someone buys a black belt and a certificate online, who cares? Does a black belt enable you to fight? Or was a black belt once a measure or how far along a student was? It doesn't make him able to fight and doesn't diminish your abilities, and if someone is in martial arts with the goal of getting their black belt, they'll never be as good as someone there who wants to learn.
Ask me what belt I am in the ONE art I do that actually does belts, (probably the only one left in which the belts still mean something, guesses anyone?) and I'll answer: who cares?
I really don't care much about the people who buy them knowing they don't mean anything. I think it casts a poor light on the Martial Arts, in general, but you will find such things in every line of human endeavor.
The reason I cannot stand these offers is because they will convince some unsuspecting people that they have learned enough to defend themselves ("Wow! I earned my Black Belt!"), when they have actually probably not gained any appreciable level of skill at all. They are taking money from the ignorant, and possibly endangering their victim by filling their heads with false confidence.
I feel most sorry for that gentleman/lady who ends up bleeding out in the street, because they felt they knew enough to fight off a knife-wielding dirtbag.
and i agree with you,you said it right,

yes there is a secret, don't tell anyone

Hello Cobosan tell G.Master Dillman that i said Hello, we go way back to the old days in Hamberg P.A

well i would be some what of a" momaluke" if i did'nt know
it is called the universal sign, we use it in kenpo i just happen to like the red
one,but it really is black and white, and it is on the left shoulder of your gi.
if you go to my site and than go to picture you will see what i mean.
to make this short it's the way the hands move, and it gets deeper than that.
hope that helps.

Sorry kenpo fighter i have to add this,Emperado was a SR student over
Mr Parker when they both still were with chow, after Mr Parker left
Emperado did not go with Parker, he started KAJUKENBO ,
so you see you have his name on the line, and i can see what you mean
but if someone who did not know anything about kenpo would think that Emperado went with parker, hope you understand what i mean

KOREAN KENPO???? WHERE DID THAT COME FROM???
i'm sorry about yelling, but i have been in the arts for 40 years, and i NEVER heard of kenpo from KOREAN,you have to tell me more
-
I take Kenpo. We use english names for all the basics like "straight punch", "wheel kick", "inward block", but all the techniques are combinations of moves with cool names.
The Cobra and the Mongoose
Dance of Death
Plucking a Bird From The Sky
Seven Swords
, etc.
People these are tracy kenpo teq's, and tracy has seven swords and we have 5 swords, when i was coming up we did 7 swords but than after i went over to Parker we did 5 swords
,,note dance of death, is parker also
and in the ACKKS we have D.O.D. also. but just to let everyone know (i think you already know) that Master Tracy left Master Parker and started "TRACYS KENPO.

Hey, I practice White Tiger Kempo...
Lineage:
Mitose-Chow-Emperado-Parker-Cerio-Fescina
When you think about it, a lot of modern systems of Kenpo/Kempo came through Ed Parker (I believe, correct me at once if this a false assumption), so in essence, most Kempo practicioners practice Ed Parker's American Kenpo. We have a LARGE family tree, there are so many branches of Kempo...
and this is one of them "ACKKS"
