  1. Who considered him an expert -afterall, he hadn't even been instructed in any Korean MA before he went to China according to his account. He only copied the Teakkyon (if that's what it was) fighter (master?).
  2. oh, I thought he returned to Korea in 1937 and only returned to Japanese Manchuria in 1941.
  3. jaseP, You seem very knowledgable on the histoy. Had Grandmaster Hwrang studied Taiji and if he did, how long for? It seems odd that he should have added the Shotokan moves if he had never trained in shotokan.
  4. sorry, but can anyone answer me this?
  5. I'm confused how that stone proves that TSD is ancient. No offence but I thought our style was much newer. It is nice to hear that our style has Taiji in it. How long had Grandmaster Hwrang studied Taiji for when he created our style? I hear that it takes ten years to master which makes it sound very complicated. Juan.
  6. Hi, I'm not so comfortable with the 20 questions welcome. I would rather not bring my instructor or acadamy into things. I don't do politics. I just want to talk about martial arts and TSD. Mark Kerr, the famous NBH fighter, is not related to me I don't think. And I'm nothing like him physically unfortunately. Juan.
  7. He's called Dave and I'm a 3rd Gup thanks. You're a 5th Dan. Wow. Juan.
  8. At our acadamy there is a special stream for future instructors. They get extra training on how to organise a class and stuff. Juan.
  9. Hi, I train in Tang Soo Do. Seems like lots of open talk about mkartial arts here. Look forward to chatting about TSD with you all. Juan.
