My first fight!
ChinoXL replied to FightingSpirit18's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
Hit up the punching bag for 30 min, do at least 20 min of jumprope straight which would help you so much more then a few hours of running straight but i do both; stretch throughly, pratice envading with a double end striking bag; my schedule is run 2-3 miles a day (spreaded out) 20 min of jump rope (1 time) 300-1000 situps (depending on my mood), 100-500 pushups (depending on my mood). hit double end striking bag for 15-20 mins also hit the speed bag for 15-20 min. Hope this helps because conditioning is very important. -

body type
ChinoXL replied to JimmyNewton's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
my theory is that body types are a very important element, like my friends who are tall and skinny they are really good at TKD and it hurts when u get kicked by a stick, me myself is boxing// muay thai and i'm a small fellow but built. alot of my friends refer to me as "tank" that trades blow for blow and said i'm the ideal grapplier since i also take bjj. My all around friend does mantis kung-fu and he never lost a real fight wid it -

I remember watching the discovery channel, it said that back in the old days one was much more dominant over the other and i forgot which? And my second question is about monkey kung fu, is it even effecitive in a fight? My father said no they suck, but i'm hoping hes wrong or what not since it is a martial art.. and which one is better or are they even debatable Shaolin Monkey, Ta Sheng Monkey,Whu Shu Monkey, Pek King Opera Monkey i know i sound like a idiot but i want to know should i even take it since my friends say i fight like a monkey
