Sorry to hear about the changes. We have to demonstrate up through Po-Eun for 2d Dan but have been taught Ge-Baek also. The 'official' ITF site lists all of the forms up through Ge-baek as a a requirement for advancement for 2d Dan. Perseverance... good luck on the testing.

Our sambumnim is a 6th Dan in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. Although he teaches self defense as part of the Tae Kwon Do cirriculum, the Hapkido portion is a separate class. We have a quite a few people that reach black belt in Tae Kwon Do and then cross over into the Hapkido class. Our first form for Hapkido is at the green belt level and is called Jae Ill Bup

I don't know if Jhoon Rhee is really considered ITF. From the Jhoon Rhee dojang that I oberved here, he has his own set of hyungs up until black belt and then they practice the ITF hyungs for their progression above black belt.
