White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. I understand your disbelief. However, even in my destruction of furniture in my house there are still those who are better then me. I would gladly take a photo of one of the pieces of furniture or my styrofoam target with my digital camera and post it if you would like. However, you must understand that i am a novice. There are those who are far better than me at this art, and it does not matter how much power you have, but instead your precision. Power without accuracy serves no purpose. As for selling a video for money, i don't really approve of selling skill.
  2. I'm sorry if it might sound a little unbelievable, but using regular playing cards on a good throw i can take large chunks out of hard wood chairs and dressers. So just think. . .if i can do that with just a playing card to hard wood, i could kill a person by striking them in the neck with a card. Playing cards are dangerous, but the reason why they are not frequently used as a weapon is because of their difficulty in aiming and in getting masterful technique. I myself still have trouble aiming effectively. I have, however, done experimentation with other, heavier and lighter types of cards, like phone cards, steel cards, hotel keys, and notecards.
  3. I am new to KarateForums, but frankly, i have been experimenting with the throwing of playing cards as weapons for a couple of years now. The most important thing and one of the main reasons why there aren't many people very good and deadly with them is that they have weak grip and weak wrists. I can leave welts on people at up to the better part of 20 yards, and when unobstructed, i can throw straight for almost 30 yards. Ray, the pioneer of card throwing techniques, trained himself for almost ten years and developed many styles. I can, if it is a straight and good throw, get my card to pierce drywall and gash hard wood. Now, tell me that human flesh is tougher than hardwood. I think I could effectively defend myself with cards.
