  1. What should I pratice most to develop this skill? just Zhan Zhuang embracing tree posture is enough? thank you
  2. someone say yes. can you know the number of people came back from death and had also some kind of power? probably most of them are false sayings but I don't think that everyone does.
  3. that's right. I think the same boys. One should be born to give and the receive the best love in this world. Get up in the morning smile for you can move, smile for you can see the sun, then don't be afraid to live or don't live something.... I accept death. There's nothing in the world is more important than life, but I don't care too much. I'm not afraid. Everything happen for a reason. Or may not. Are we so big to understand why?
  4. how are these 3 aspect of internal arts linked togheter? I read an article about chi kung in wing chun gong fu. Particullary was talking about the concept of grounding. the static grounding and the dinamic grounding. How can we develop the grounding skills? Is zhan zhuang exercise related to grounding? thanks
  5. And so I did. I searched on the web, I have 2-3 books about but in the end you find always the same words, the same methods, probably different experiens and sensations. It is your how aknowledge when praticing it. I noticed that someday I stay in this position for 30 minutes having not too much problems, and sometimes stay ther efor 15 minutes is very hard. Donnow why...
  6. It's 2-3 days that praticing zhan zhuang I can't relax shoulders. After 15 minutes I feel my arms and shoulder going to tense up, and I am no more able to relax them. So I restart focusing embracing the sphere but nothing change!! why? what should I do? Oss!
  7. ah ok. So the only thing is relax, mantain positions, deep breathing... right right! Gabriele
  8. I saw in these exercise the description in the web site. They say things like " move your Qi..." but really I can't move it because I still don't recognize it, I don't feel it, even if I have praticed zhan zhuang poses like embracing tree. Sincerely I can't move Qi because I don't feel it, or if I fell it, I don't know that is Qi. hope to be clear with my poor english grammar Gabriele
  9. anke tu italiano? (ora scrivo in ing così capiscono tutti) Where do you pratice? Tai chi yang style or others? Karate Shotokan or others? .. write me an e mail!
  10. hi everybody I acually pratice shotokan karate. this is my second year in this art. Well I noticed that it is merely based upon phisical strenght, speed and strech capacity of the student. I want to grow, knowing that my phisical body has great limits, and donnow how to do. What do you suggest me? Add qi gong pratice to karate? How qi will be manifestate in karate pratice and daily life activity? I'd like to know what is qi and how I can feel it, and the best exercise to train/ develop this energy. Thank you for helps
  11. I think that one should give everything in trainig Kata and Kihon. pratice them a lot, make tecniques perfect: powerful, quick, put emphasys on the attitude while working on these. Yes, why not, train that as you should kill someone, with the same power needed to crash an elephant and the same speed it takes to evade a snake bite. But ! Kumite - sparring is different. Don't try to win or damage your opponent, just work to defend against his attacks and lightly reply. It will make a serene pratice of kumite , avoiding risk of damage someone for nothing back. Kata and Kihon can build up a great deadly blade Kumite makes you able to hold the blade in the cover -I hope my inglish wasn't so bad -
  12. so, in the end, I can say that using Kimè is simply focus on the tecnique that I am going to do and do it without tense muscles too much, isn't it?
  13. Remember that the belt does not mean anything. Out there you haven't got a belt. You may meet an aggressor, a killer, and he usually does not wear a belt. Belt....belt and belt........puah!!! there is nothing worst that this kind of classification. Your grade does not depend from your belt. Ask yourself if you can really apply the tecniques you learn in the real life, ask yourself what is the utility of the martial arts: 1) wearing a belt this year and one better the next one 2) become a fighter, really able to do even if white belt I hope you don't feel "assailed" with my words, I'd like you can focus on them and tell me what you think about Ciao, by Gabriele
  14. Hi everybody I have a question for you martial artists, expecially for you that pratice karate. What is Kimè? how can we translate this concept? How can I do tecniques with Kimè? It's one of the most important thing in Karate. I would say that Kimè is energy, in the sense of determination, good focus on the tecnique that I am doing, isn't it? Please make this concept clear for me!!! by Gabriele Oss!
  15. I wold tell you another thing. There is something that one should not do and something that one should do. You should do: -mantain relaxation -mantain deep breathing -smile, think positive -take the fight as a defence test or tecnique test You should NOT do: -Exicete -over moving -fall in anger -try to hurt hardly your opponent -focus on victory only It is really difficult. The word "Match" itself take the people in mind the fact of WIN or LOSE But the thruth is that match is a way to analyze YOURself, the property of your techniques, your capacity in fighting, and other qualities. In the end of the match one should think the negative part of himself, such as "mmm...my gyaku tsuky is not so quick to compete..." or " my legs are heavy, I need speed for kick his face.." again "I spent all my energy in attack, then when tired, he had the oppurtunity to knock me out..." See where you did good, and better where you did wrong. Never think about the lucky or unlucky match... OSS!
