  1. has no 1 considered that it is the influence of the world we live in and the day and time we live that influences how we feel about kumite/kata?? all we see on televison and music/chanels/radio is violent and promotes anger and that must have some effect on how we respond, - example , TV series like xena and herculese (although fictional and over exagerated) implant the fight scenes in our subcocious and we act on what we remember, wether we know it or not!! thoughts please! reply to thechosen17@hotmail.com or leave me a msg< cheers BLUE

  3. edged weapons are hard, edged and rounded are harder! i was once attacked by 2 guys, no weapon showing, we got in a fight, still no weapon vissible, an all of a sudden - WHAM - there was an ice pick flying at my chest, MA taught me the best thing to do was move, i didnt do it fast enough so now i have a perfectley round scar 11inches from my heart i defended quick enough to stop almost all serious damage from occuring although i still find it hard to breath in cold climates
  4. i feel it is a great expeerience an one tyo be repeated. it symbolises your concies and unconcies mind being together as one with your hara, or center, i would most deffinetly try to repeat the expierce (although with another team mate/coach in the area to ensure your safety) Mark
  5. as i was lead to belive samurais where trained in a vast aray of arts in order to allow them to quickly and effecively control/kill there enemy. Mark
  6. as an experienced fighter the best advice any one can give or recieve is "devolop a strong yakazukie"(punch with back hand)(sorry about spellin) it opens up the whole body of your opent and create opertunites for higher scoring techniques (i.e mowashageri to head, sweeping, step in punch etc) if you wish to chat further catch me on thechosen17@hotmail.com Mark
  7. WHAT SHOULD BE DONE? I WAS DISRESPECTED AND INSULTED WITH-IN THE DOJO AT MY LAST TRAINING SESSION AND AM IN 2 MINDS WETHER OR NOT TO CONTINUE THE PRACTICE OF MARTIAL ARTS. MY DOJO HAS BECAME TO POLITICAL AND IF YOU ARE NOT WITH THE RIGHT GROUP THEN YOU ARE NO ONE. I HAVE STAYED NEUTRAL THROUGHOUT AND I SEE GOOD AND BAD POINTS THROUGHOUT BOTH ARGUMENTS. MY SENSEI DREW ME INTO A FIGHT AND I, FOOLSHLY, RESPOND WITH A VIOLENT ACTION. THIS LEAD TO ME BEING OUTCAST BY SOME AND WELCOMED BY OTHERS WHO WISH THEY COULD HAVE TRIED THE SAME. I DONT CONDONE MY ACTIONS AND WONDER (ALTHOUGH NOT FORMAILY ASKED TO LEAVE) IF I SHOULD FIND ANOTHER STYLE AND WITHDRAW FROM MY CHIKARA COMMUNITY? ALL REPLYS ARE WELCOMED. ALSO IF YOU PREFER EMAIL ME FROM MY PROFILE TO MSN.
