How much weight can a stud support though

how do you find a stud in the wall is there a method on finding it I know theres the knocking method

This is a nice forum It ripped the concrete wall wow i was trying to find a way to hang it in my room i think it will break my wall so i have to find a way to make it less weight on the floor
