This is unbelievable. I stumbled across this video of an idiot that has no remorse for anyone or anything. Watch this video and tell me what you would have done. Even worse imagine that is was your wife, daughter or mother in the car. This makes me sick. I have a hard time with this kind of senseless violence.

I think I would have run him over and then judged by my peirs.

I teach a simple philosophy when dealing with edged weapons. First of all there will be no one technique that will work, since the environment is dynamic and you must adapt to it. Most of the techniques I've seen over time are beautiful and I still enjoy practicing some of them. But would generaly be ineffective.

First, you will bleed. Get that in your head and be prepared.

1. RUN

2. Cant run for some reason. EQUALIZE pick something up (extra reach is good)

3. NUTRALIZE rapid entry with the intent to drop them where they stand.

There is much more to discuss on each of these items, but that is the just of it.

Fortunatly most can be avoided with a little common sense. There was some question where one could see street fight videos. If you watch these you'll see that most end on the ground. However, you will also see that none of them have trained or their attack/defense would have been different and maybe they wouldn't have ended up on the ground. Except for one guy that trys a jump spin back kick in a street figth. Well didn't work well. No Duh! Why turn your back to an opponent. Unless you are lightening fast and deadly accurate. I still wouldn't do it.

I agree with dippedappe. Generaly you would never end up in this type of situation if you had any sense. But its still funny and educational to watch others.
