From an actaul experince I had. Helping break up a fight some one took a swing at me I saw it out of the corner of my eye. I turned and executed a perfect in out block exatcly as it is done in the form TKD form of chungi. Even though I had not practiced in years the muscle memory reacted from the years of form practice. What was even better than the block was that I was ready for any other attack and the person that was trying to keep the fight going stoped and walked away. So based on that experince I relized that a form teaches you more than just this is a block turn and kick. But it teaches you how to defend from mutiple angles, balance, and a interal steadiness that you dont know you had unless threatened. I am not sure I am working this right I just hope you all understand.
