  1. Over the summer we should all unite in the middle of Canada!
  2. There are kiais at preset points in kata, I agree. But labeling any other kiai as wrong is what I disagree with. Kiais should be a natural extension of any punch or kick. Maybe a person decided to put a bit more effort into a punch or kick sometime and they kiai. I do not think that is wrong. Maybe awkward in a dead silent class . One of the things instructors got other students to do at winter camp was to kiai on every count of the kata.
  3. Interesting website, SaiFights. I'll have to take a good look around when I have the time.
  4. A heart attack? I know it's probably not from clogged arteries at age 17! What a horrible thing to go through!
  5. Oxyclean, the official sponsor of karate gis everywhere!
  6. Yes, I am a certified cartologist. No, but I did have to learn what my country looked like in the earlier grades of school!
  7. I wish I could go! My family is planning a trip for August though and I would like to stop by as many kyokushin dojos as possible in my two weeks! So any UK kyokushin people out there have to hook me up!
  8. For some reason a man letting his wife get a little teacup dog belittles him in my eyes... And then seeing men walking those teacup dogs is just sad.
  9. Wild animals are not pets! Unless they're skunks. They're just too cute!
  10. Mmmm... rice...mmm... machine that cooks rice... mmmm....
  11. Crazy, and this ballooned out of a religous holiday? I guess saying religous before holiday is redundant... holi day (holy day).
  12. Not in Canada! A weapon in considered a tool! And in Canada we just have assult.
  13. Ideally forever, but I do think I'd take more breaks because I'd get pretty frustrated for no visible recognition for my work. I'd still go though, I heart my dojo.
