  1. not if you work for an institution with full AV filtering at proxy level, woohah!
  2. sorry for the triple post, the forum had problems... yeah, i suggested joe eigo and linked to the site, curious to know what ekoms doesnt agree with
  3. I coded a japanese > english terminology translation test in preperation for my 1st dan grading, its based on wado-ryu techniques, but should work well for different styles. http://yakusha.homeofmuppets.co.uk
  4. Well yesterday was a long day for me, i was at the British Wado-Ryu Karate Union National Championships, im a bit battered and bruised, but came away with 2 trophies I entered: Mens Kata Mens <65kg Mens Open Weight Mens Team Not ashamed to say that i didnt win any of my kumite (sparring) matches, the competition was very tough, and this was my first senior tournament. I was pleased with my performance though. I won my first round in Mens Kata with Bassai though, and got 3rd place. Our Team also got third place in the Mens Team. Got some pictures here: http://homeofmuppets.co.uk/gallery/nationals and some video too Mens Kata Bassai 16.7mb Seishan 25.2mb Mens Open Weight blue tag Short Clip 2.9mb Full Fight 39mb Mens <65kg blue tag Short Clip 2.2mb Full Fight 31.7mb Mens Team red tag Short Clip 1.5mb Full Fight 39.1mb
  5. i wear the Blitz TKD shoes (cheaper than adidas) and theyre not too bad. They take a bit of getting used to though, as the inside edge of your foot tends to 'fall over' the sole when you balance on one foot. but after a while, you get used to them. i only wear them when training on hard floors (blister city) and make sure you get some trainer socks because they do rub a lil when theyre new, and they start to smell quickly, so you will find yourself throwing them in the washer every month if you wear them regularly, lol. I wouldnt go for 'low top running shoes' as the soles are too stiff and padded for MA use, the blitz and adidas have very thin soles and are very flexible (you can still pull your toes back for a decent maegeri)
  6. LOL! i made it to help me and my training partner revise for our dan grade written exam (got 100% on translations in the actual exam )
  7. Cheers chirath! have you tried the link for the translator? im working on that in my spare time, its based on our syllabus, but the translations should work the same. Would be interesting to know if its useful to other wado (or even other style) students
  8. Wado-Ryu here
