  1. I think you are one hundred percent right Thaiboxerken. Hardwork is the key here, all you have to do is read about the work ethic and realise why Bruce Lee was so good. His work ethic demonstrates to us all that he deserved exactly what he got out of life, and that was plenty. As i have mentioned earlier, there are no JKD schools in Melbourne, Australia. But you can train hard, refine your skills, and let your body flow to be able to KICK ASS.
  2. I am in the exact same boat AnonymousOne. I live in Melbourne, Australia and there are no JKD schools anywhere. But given that JKD's entire philosophy is based on "simplifying", with hard work and proper analysis of your techniques you really can base a JKD on yourself. Because really JKD isn't a style, Bruce Lee was trying to make us all understand that a Martial Art is an expression (flow) of oneself, for example: As Bruce Lee once said (this is paraphrased because i could not remember the direct quote): That a sculpture does not add to his artwork, but chips away what is not needed, constantly perfecting his art. It is all about efficiency of movement, getting the most out of the least amount of energy.
  3. Yoda, you definately have your head switched on right, and i can tell that you are a very philosophical person, which is fantastic because it opens up your eyes to the world. As of 9 years old I studied Taekwondo for 4 years, and received my black belt (greatest moment of my life). I decided to quit 4 years ago which was the worst decision of my life. However, i have worked hard to remain supple, yet strong, and over the past month have immersed myself in Bruce Lee's teachings. I feel like his thoughts (and unbelievable martial arts talent), has proved that hard work can bring great things to anyone.
  4. My life would be completely fulfilled if i could risk or give the Ultimate Sacrifice for my country's safety.
