You do not want to study ninjutsu. Look here: http://b u l l s h i d o.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9653 Look at the kinds of pathetic people that get into that. I wanted to learn ninjutsu...back when I was like 12 years old. But I am no longer interested in Hatsumi's suspiciously well detailed re-construction of what a bunch of mercenaries back in the 1500s practiced in the woods each day. A lot of the stuff that he pushes as "ninjutsu", like his self-defense patterns and kata, there could not have been detailed physical evidence substantiating. The most likely explanation is that he's just making it up and making a lot of money off of it from people who have nothing more exciting in their lives than pretending to be ninjas. Hatsumi aside, go do a Google search on Rick Tew. Look at the videos he has uploaded on his main website. His students aren't that good in the sparring videos; they keep twisting their heads away as they attack because they're not used to getting hit in the face. Twisting the head away as you fight with someone in standup is a bad habit that any striker with his or her salt drills away ASAP. The fact that all the sparring videos on the site involves a lot of head-turning shows that the people in the videos are inexperienced and not too good. You don't want to be like them; why spend time and money learning that "ninjutsu" when you could become a halfway decent striker with less egotistical pretense just by doing boxing, muay thai, or sanshou.
