thaiboxerken's Achievements

Black Belt

Black Belt (10/10)

  1. Muay thai is almost exclusively about refining the basics.
  2. Practically, it is..... but Linxx is more marketable.
  3. Muay Thai!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Krav Maga is crap. It's simply a bunch of martial artists that want to market off of the conflicts in that area of the world. While there are some decent things in KM, there are also many methods that are almost suicidal.
  5. He touched on Jun Fan Gung Fu, it was mostly Kali and Silat.
  6. It's a mix of Kali, Silat, JKD Concepts, Brazillian Jujitsu and Muay Thai. "and linking the energy of the mind, body, and spirit." I think Cucci's opinion is that training in his system will help develop your physique and confidence. I think he mistakes confidence and dedication with "spirit". There is no emphasis on meditation or anything like that.
  7. I'm not so sure about the claim. I'd bloody a smile as sure as I'd bloody a frown. It's easy to smile and be confident, but that doesn't win the fight, skill and tactics do.
  8. I like to do pyramid sets on the thai pads. start at 1. at one, to one rep. at 2 do 2 reps......etc. got to goal, then back down to 1 again. If you pyramid up to 10, you get in 100 repetitions. You can also do double-kick rounds. 3 minute round of getting as many kicks as you can, in double-kicks. Have your partner attack you and harrass you while you try to kick the pads he's holding. YOu can also do combination rounds the same way, the pad holder will still harrass you but will cue you when to do your combo.
  9. You should give her a reverse punch to her gut! KIAHHH!!!
  10. So, I take it that you don't have evidence.
  11. Basic sprawl. Something all HS wrestlers learned, and all martial artists SHOULD learn.
  12. No, it's about techniques to trick your opponent. I watch Naruto, and that's why I'm informed.
  13. Phrost is correct, one must find something that actually has some practical application. That is, unless, they don't care about actually knowing how to fight or defend themselves.
  14. That, Draythorn, depends on who's kicking and how.
  15. There are modern-day ninjas, however, they don't call themselves ninjas. We call them special forces of the various military branches. They don't do all that much hand-to-hand though.
