If you are not suffering from lack of IT skills or starvation I strongly suggest you get a Suunto t6. It's expensive but it calculates EPOC, VO2 and many other parameters which were previously available only through laboratory testing. The benefit? It actually makes sure you won't sweat for nothing anymore. Another great thing is that it tells you if you make the most common mistake of them all: train too hard. Several well known MA gurus have been using it in their training programs and so are tennis and ice hockey players, cross-country skiers etc. I heard many places are out of stock right now but keep looking and you'll find one. For martial arts person I wouldn't recommend anything else.
