Hm...Be very careful when fighting against a wrestler or immataor. If u havent had any experience in wrestling you could be in for it if they get in close on you and get ahold of you. Use the jab or roundhouse kick. (long weapons). Wrestlers usually have a lower stance so it might not be smart to use low kicks because they could grab the easily and swoop you up. My advice would be to get in and get out.
Haha....Nah, yelling and doing Kahaps doesnt effect me at all. I dont even really pay attention to it when I spar. I mean, when I watch others spar I can hear it but, when Im fighting it different. The only thing that would even intimadate me is a fighter that doesnt show off and is calm. Someone who shows off and prances around and talks alot is the kinda person everyone wants to beat up.
Um, me personally I would kick if It were self defense...Just because I love to kick and Im good at it. My hands are decent but, Im comfortable kicking. So, if you are good at kicking than kick....if not than dont kick. But, its self defense for christ sake so do what you gotta do to protect yourself (The low shin kick is good too!!!)
Create angles...If your quick try moving to the side if your oppent is coming straight at you and then that should leave some room for kicking. But, you'd have to time it correctly. (Thats the only thing I can think of)
Yea, tha's pretty stupid that you have to pay for the online thing. I really want to expand my mauy thai training and learn more but, no one really knows any around here. I live in a really small town. It sucks because, people tell me I have the potential to excel in all areas of Martial Arts but, I just cant find any schools close enough.
Yea....I wish I would of started earlier with martial arts, I played around with it when I was about 12-13 but, any age is good to start!! The younger the better!! There are kids in the junior class that are 8 and 9 years old...Some 11 year olds are green and brown belts already. Again, the younger the better in my opinon. I started when I was 15 and am 17 now. So I guess Im still beginning and I just got my green belt in Bojokaru
I am currently studying BoJoKaru. Boxing, Jusitsu and Karate. But, I have a foundtation of Taekwondo. And, on the side, I am studying Mauy Thai KickBoxing, Caperioa, and wrestling.
Does anyone kno' what "style" Sitchi que is under? Becuase, we do key-on kate iche, knee, saun, shi, gou, then sitchi que....I dunno how to spell. it but, if you can help me out than that would be great. Thanks... Seechi que kata??
I just wear hand and ankle weights. Run a little bit to get tired....and, have a partner throw different combinations of kicks and punches. But, dont fight back just try to time there moves out and evade there kicks and punches.. It helps me....but, if anyone has a better way to do it. Please post.
