Yellow Belt

Yellow Belt (2/10)

  1. i am happy they are very well made, and great if you dont have a lot of space, with the stand and bench its great for quick workouts between classes, thought id share.
  2. i also have a very similiar model only different in brand, and it hurts alot less getting kicked in the nuts with it than without, put it that way
  3. well im brand new here but what my understanding was 9-10 dan was "master"
  4. thanks, i know you guys will flame me, but my tkd school was not alot about high flashy kicks, of course we have our spinning heel kicks and such, but we spent alot of time with our hands and combos for real worls situations, also alot of hapkido, thanks for the replys im looking forward to training.
  5. i can get out of the closed gaurd, its after that, that i have problem i keep my back straight and can always get the legs open
  6. im newer to the bjj scene, im having alot of trouble after getting there legs open moving to side mount, any tips are welcome. thanks
  7. i have a sheet to study for class, Ichi, ni, san, shi(yon), go, roku, shichi (nanna), hachi, ku, ju, i feel like a idiot but why does the #1 and 7 have two different ways of saying it, wich is most commen? thanks
  8. here is something i found on my sensei. http://www.portaskarate.org/portabio.html
  9. from tkd to goju ryu and kombudo, sensai is a 8th dan in goju ryu, and a 6th dan in kombudo, what should i expect different than my tkd class. im excited it is a cery nice school, alot of equipment and weapons im ready to learn
  10. thinking about switching over from tkd, to hung gar kung fu, in your opinions is this a good idea, looking to see what else is out there. still going to take bjj as a second school, any comments welcome..
  11. my teacher is also a 3rd degree black belt in tkd, and a blue belt in bjj, he is insane, takes soo many years to become even a blue belt in bjj, he has won all kinds of belts and awards. should not be a problem
  12. going to my first tourment on july 24th, in atlantic city, thinking about just doing everything, breaking, forms, and sparring. been training hard so think im ready, im only at high yellow and have been training with red and black belt double classes, any advice?
