  2. https://www.karateshorinkan.com Best prices I've seen yet. I've purchased two sets of shureido sai from that site (chrome natural) as well as some kobudo cases. Shipping price is exceptionally low. And customer service is exceptionally high...Only problem is, they are always low on stock, and some items have to be back-ordered. - Nick

  6. This has been on my mind for a while...For bokken and jo's it is preferebly better to get white oak instead of red oak, because it is denser wood....But how come the majority of bo's out there are made out of red-oak?
  7. a friend wants to purchase a chrome shureido sai set and is wondering if they would rust easily?
  8. Lets say two equally skilled adepts in their own art (one saijutsu the other bojutsu) faced off...Which weapon do you think would beat the other? Please post thoughts
  9. Well one is chrome plated (Shiny) the other is natural (blackish/silver...more of a rugged look)....Does the only diference is the appearance, it doesn't affect the weight, balance, in any way...I own a natural (22 1/2 inch) pair of Shureido simply because of my traditional/practical taste...ancient okinawan karateka i don't think had the luxury of owning chrome-plated sai (if any)
  10. What would be the best paint/ painting method for a steel weapon? I'm curious to know what kind of paint they use for weapons like sai, etc
  11. Yes and that was the last one in stock
  12. Hey again fellow martial artists...I recently purchased a pair of 22.5 inch shureido sai and upon recieving them...I noticed the handle wrapping (string) was purple! Being that I am extremely picky about things like this, espeacially when the picture showed the wrapping as black, I now would like to change them...I was wondering, would hockey tape (black) have enough grip retention for sai? Any suggestions? Cheers, Nick
  13. Anyone know where i could find a nunte-bo on the net...BESIDES Shureido? -Nick
  14. Well...This made me chuckle http://www.molvania.com/video_medium_2.html
