White Belt (1/10)

  1. Probably, because that was a chinese guy that taught him. That chinese guy's students were awesome, too. Like, Grease lightin'
  2. I used to carry a * load of knives. Awhile back I was big into knife making, and I would carry a hunting style knife and usually two flick knives. The hunting knife in a sheath against my back, and the two flicks in either pocket for a Wolverine-style "CLING". I don't carry any now, though. Because I pulled a knife on four guys once that I figured I would have had a bad chance of fighting, and they ended up pulling a knife on me. Luckily a cop drove by and broke up the soon to be fight. The thing is, if somebody tries to mug me, I'm not going to stab them anyways. I'd rather loose the usual eighty bucks from my wallet rather than have to stab someone and take the chance of killing them. Just isn't worth it. And you really really really shouldn't carry a knife unless you're willing to use it. You might run into someone whose willing to use his. Now and then I carry a BB gun around, not for self defence but because I do a lot of BB gun shooting, and when I'm on the street, there's a good chance I'm walking towards an empty area somewhere to do some target shooting with friends. I work nights at a gas station with a graveyard on either side of the street. I make a couple extra bucks doing security work, making sure nobody is damaging the graves and stuff. So I carry a 9 inch baton that goes out to 27 inches. I've only had to pull it out a few times. I'm a big guy, and when you see a big guy in the dark you don't know he's a teenager, so seeing a big guy with what looks like a stick, is usually enough to send the high choolers running away.
  3. Wow, some of these are very impressive. What kind of chucks do you guys use? I've got wooden ones with twine instead of a chain, some of the moves, they look like they would hurt like hell no matter how slowly I do them. I mean hurt ME like hell. I gotta get some foam-wrapped ones. Again, really impressive videos.
  4. Those little natives had some awesome moves. I loved that movie, it was one of the last good movies I've seen in awhile. The Rock isn't too bad of an actor either. It's just too bad he ruined his reputation with the whole WWF thing.
  5. I really wish Jet Li's talent wasn't discovered. It would have been cool to see him stay in low budget-actual-fighting movies. This Matrix crap turns my stomach. Though the motorcycle-kendo-sticks were pretty sweet.
  6. Of course Bruce Lee. If you were talking about shows that are still on(and making new episodes) then I wouldn't know what to tell you. I don't think I've ever seen a good martial artist on a television show other than Chuck and Bruce. But I hate Chuck with a passion. His movies anyways, and his shows. Which is unfortunate that they make him act like that, cause I've seen him interviewed, and he's actually a pretty cool guy.
  7. That was the turning point of my childhood. I couldn't believe that, he was like, my hero until that. Keep in mind I was eight at the time, but still. His movies aren't that bad if you fast-forward through the acting and go straight to the fight scenes. Bloodsport had * VD fights in it, but a lot of the other fights were pretty cool. I thought Kickboxer was an excellent movie though. The Fights weren't bad, and the old guy was cool. I gotta get me an old asian dude...
  8. I'm pretty sure I caught some Tai Chi in there somewhere. I'm surprised how good he is, even though he isn't that great. Thing is, he's a good actor, and usually the ability to fight seems to destory the ability to act.
