  1. Hey everyone!! I've posted only once here before. But I have found Bear Brand equipment. The website to go to for the information is https://www.BearBrandInc.com Please pass it on to others on this network. I think they just recently got into business. My other question- My fiancee is looking into opening his own TKD school. He has been training for 10+ years, and has found that as for flooring, jigsaw mats are not for him. (I personally dislike, because they do catch and break toes, and deteriorate too quickly). Has anyone practiced TKD on trocellen foam? The same stuff that cheerleaders use? I hear that it's recommended for aikido, but TKD does not have as much tossing. Any input? Thanks
  2. Joining into a martial arts school, you really should think about the credibility of a teacher. My experience (take it as you want. I am not a member of the martial arts community yet. I have not joined due to various reasons, but am looking into one school at the moment). with the different schools (especiallt TKD, being in Jhoon Rhee country, or TX is that anyone can claim themselves to be a master. Don't look at certificates. Look at years of experience, years in a specific location, and above all, ask about their name around town. One good indcator is if this person is in good standing not only within, say for example, the TKD community, but also within other forms of martial arts. This can be extremely important. Continuing education, and knowledge and acceptance of other arts can make for a more fulfilling martial arts experience. 'sides, you don't want to end up at a belt factory.
  3. Howdy ya'll. I'm not actually a martial artist, but I was trying to find Bear Brand uniforms for my fiance that is. Here is what I found (before I stumbled on the forums this day!) I hope it helps out, as one site has Bear brand Uniforms, the other has Bear Brand Belts. If anyone orders from either of these, please e-mail and let me know what you thought of the product. It is going to be a surprise for my fiance. https://www.chikung.com/uniforms.html for the uniforms and https://www.cmasports.safeshopper.com and search for bear brand on the second. The prices for both sites seem like great prices (compared to Adidas or Retail Century). Good Luck!
