White Belt (1/10)

  1. I will say such a thing cannot be graded because a really good fighter can be killed if he slips or is shot or is knifed from the guy behind the garbage can. As far as Bruce Lee people tend to forget he was a movie star..I feel he is overpromoted since he is dead; and died in his prime, it is easy to get carried away with his skill. I believe there are people that could take hits from him and still keep coming and eventually get him down. I don't mean to sound cold hearted but look at the fact that he is dead, how tough could he have been if he died from something as simple as a allergic reaction to some kind of drug?? A drug that is not known to kill people. LIke I said though street fighting cannot be compared to any sport movie star or UFC event because it is mortal combat. Regards
  2. I am planning on switching to BJJ. Because I like the idea of gorgeous women wrapping their legs around me and treating me badly.
  3. LOL thats some funny stuff. I don't take TKD anymore, and never would again. The school I did attend was probably one of the better run ones that I have seen. They also offered hapkido. At the time I didn't have access to any other schools other then a zen do kai class that ran twice a week.
  4. I have seen first hand experience someone who had been taking wing chun for about 5 years, beat a 3rd degree black belt in TKD (a instructor ). Granted I was only 18 years old at the time and about 145 pounds. He cracked my rib in the first time sparring with him. He was built similar to me lean and short. I was a bit taller. Looking back he probably was going to schools to show off his WC. But a first impression is a lasting impression. I was very impressed with my first KF encounter. He took lessons for about 6 months at TKD. He had everyone taking lessons from him by the end. I could see WC being very useful in say bar situation or a club you know were it is very crowded.
