  1. it wasnt so much asking a question. it would be when someone answered a question they way that someone else didnt care to hear.
  2. you will make it to black belt. normally people are turned down the first time they test no matter how well they do. the second time if you make it through you will pass. if my old instructor made it to pbn so can you
  3. I dont really know. I know that just about everyone and their brother was subscribed though it seemed. I do know that anyone was able to subscribe to the list
  4. yes there used to be one quite a while ago. im gonna say about 5 years ago that i know. it was good for discussing kuk sool won but anyone who asked a question would get flamed pretty badly i just cant remember where to subscribe from
  5. not to burst your bubble but whether the school is sanctioned or not doesnt speak for the quality of the school. I enjoyed what i got out of KSW. but i got more from peers than i did my teacher. it turns out that my teacher was one of the biggest cultivators of marijuana in this area and he took advantage of every woman that walked in the door. funny thing now is that his school closed, wife left him, and he cant understand why.
  6. ok. in KSW, we had to pay to test for our belts and stripes.
  7. i only know of timerman from my old instructor. he owned the berkely/birmingham school. i would strongly advise against going there if you are loking to learn something. I would suggest KSW in troy. its actually at lifetime fitness and run by gehrik mohr. gehrik is pretty intense and he wont let you learn things the wrong way. he is a prety amazing teacher.
  8. ksw in canada that i knew about used to be run by rudy timmerman. if your going to learn something for yourself, then that would be the last place i would suggest. I know of a good instructor in the detroit area though.
  9. i found that it all depends on how much the teacher is making this month. for my style, the testing money went directly to the instructor. that ends up in having a bunch of brown belts that dont know what they are doing and have no business wearing brown belts.
  10. i know that their used to be an email forum that you could subscribe to for kuk sool won. is it still active and could someone please send me a link for it?
