  1. He perpetuated them so he'd probably appreciate the nonesense
  2. 300 lbs is easy to bench, to get to 400 takes a hell of a lot more. There is a fair bit of speculation (well documented) indicating that Bruce Lee's spectacular level of fitness was b.s. A summary of this view is presented here: http://www.myodynamics.com/articles/bruce.html Who knows, who cares. There are a lot of better fighters now who are also in better shape. If you want a better model of how to get in shape for ma's check out Muscle and Fitness from a couple of month's ago and follow Frank Mir's routine. Or head over to Frankshamrock.com and read the 3-4 part series on strength building for ma'ists.
  3. Guess what, jump kicks were never used to dehorse soldiers with long lances either, use some common sense on that one. What it comes down to is how do you practice?
  4. Here's a question: How likely is it that you practice a martial art that is 5000 years old and was lost until about thirty years ago. HRD is Hapkido, look at the lineage of your own art. Your founder practiced HKD for 30 years and then founded HRD saying it was completely different and a bazillion years old. For that matter HKD is simply dait-ryu-akijujitsu (sp) with japanese flavored strikes and a little tkd influenced kicking. Neither of them have a single thing to do with ancient mythical warriors of some time fogged empire.
