First I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Jay and I'll be 24 years old next month. I'm 5'8" and around 160lbs, so I'm definately a smaller guy. I've been doing weight lifting (powerlifting, specifically) the past 3 years to become stronger and feel better about myself. I did make some decent gains but I got injured every now and then and I think that sort of training is not the most practical. Anyways, I am very interested in learning a martial arts that is challenging, fun, a good cardiovascular workout, and will make me a deadly opponent if I was ever in a street fight situation. I would say I faster than average reflexes, and consider myself pretty agile. I'm very excited to start Muay Thai and was wondering what advice you guys could give. There is a school here in Omaha that is said to be great, and I'll check it out sometime this week. I just wanted to introduce myself and give a background of me, and what I want to do. I'm very excited to learn Muay Thai!
