Green Belt (5/10)

  1. Just a week to go now! I've heard that the places are going very quick so if you want to be there best get your money in! Don't miss out! Let me know if you're going and we can meet up. Terry
  2. Bloody hell!! I thought you died in the Great war! Wot you up to?
  3. Keep an eye on Way of the Spiritual warrior (Mind, Body, Kick, * Moves - MBKAM) for some quality seminars and United Goju Seminars have a few good un's too. https://www.thewayofthespiritualwarrior.co.uk https://www.freewebs.com/unitedgoju
  4. I do not believe in gradings per se. You either know it or you don't. I find the idea of demonstrating x amount of kicks or strikes kinda humurous. Personally for black belt I like to see a certain degree of understanding and the correct use of movement and application. Not so much about how much but how well......
  5. I have runa club for almost a year now and although I've had a few people through the door I am down to just one regular member. Can you give me any advertsing advice to get em rolling in? (I don't teach kids)
  6. Theres a seminar with Gavin Mulholland & Iain Abernethy in Solihull in Feb. I've trained with both guys and they are fantastic it should be a superb pairing! This is the site for it https://www.practicalkarate.com Anyway if anyone else from the forum is thinking about popping along we could meet up. So how about it?

It's as effective as your friend makes it. Goju should be a very practical close in fighting system. Will it complement tsd? That depends on your ability to combine the two systems, but yes you should find that it makes you more comfortabel at a range that perhaps you are not so familiar with.
  8. The event has been potponed until November now anyway
  9. Erm...well I guess not. They've just reduced the cost of the seminar from £30 to £20 if you prepay for your tickets....
  10. Hey guys, my mate emailed me the details to a tensho seminar in the UK. I'm gunna go along should be great! I've trained with both the instructors and in all honesty I think that I can confidently say that they are the best I've had the pleasure of learning from. A very good partnering indeed. I do Goju but kata tensho is easy to leran and the principles transcend style. Is any one else going? Here is a link to the site: https://www.freewebs.com/tensho
  11. Hi Master Jules! Still haven't had that online chat have we, soon my friend, soon..... Miss you on my site You post your knowledge here so this is where I must come
  12. How'd I miss this one!! I'm a Goju guy from the UK, 2nd dan. All you Goju guys should check out my home page, it'd be great to see some of you on there....
  13. There's plenty of history on the net. Is there something specific you're looking for?
  14. That's a shame you missed a great day of superb tuition and tomorrow looks to be just as promising
  15. Somethiing loose will be fine. Spectators do not have to pay.
