  1. you could always track it down and destroy its nest and kill the other birds, let it live with the guilt.
  2. And in this corner weighing in at 128lbs The Master of Martial Arts the founder of Jeet Kune DO one of the fastest and possibly the greatist martial artist of all time Bruce lee. (Bruce lee is stil alive and in his prime we'll pretend) And in this Corner a POLAR BEAR! Good luck Bruce!
  3. How much do you guys think footwork plays in martial arts (striking)? How much time should be spent on foot work and stances percentage of your training wise ?
  4. I suppose I should have been more specific on how fast you would defend yourself. I was meaning a year of consistant training. Conisistant training would be practicing for 6 hours a day 6 times a week.
  5. I was Just Curious to which Martial art you would learn to defend your self against a street attack. Not that I go out and pick fights or anything but there must be one in which you learn how to fight the fastest. I was thinking either: muay thai, or krav maga. Whats your guys opinions?
  6. Hulk Hogan is crazy sure hes just a performer but hes big and scary. Would you want to fight Hulk Hogan ?
  7. i got into a couple brawls with some karate guys. I think one guy said he was a black belt or soemthin. I was quite experienced by then and he kicked hard but I ended up tackling him and bashing his chest about 10 times with my fists kind of like an ape it knocked the windout of him and the fight was over. I think i came out because he used a very strict form and I dont think he ever tried to fight an ape befor.
  8. Nice site I look forward to learning as much as I can. I got some experience but it isnt traditional by any means.
  9. Im new here just posted a few things. Just a few questions for ya when your brawlin what techniques have you found work pretty good? Ive learnt a few tricks in my day. I remember how I learned the forhead is the strongest part of your body. Breaking your hand really hurts!
  10. Size of course matters but in ground fighting situations a big guy will have more control a little guy will escape easier. Im not sure how much you weight but lets just say you way 100lbs you manage to get on top of the guy and you press your forearm on his neck and throat and you lean forward as far as you can probably puttign about 40% of your body weight on the guys neck. Think of a 40 lb dumbell resting on your throat its probably very uncomfertable and probably dangerous. A lot of ground work has to do with positioning your body as a small person you should really focus on this learn how to focus your mass.
  11. Hi Im fairly new here but i had a few questions ive been tryign to learn what this chi stuff is all about. Ive been hearing its an internal energy that is in everything. Mostly it comes from with in yourself and from your center. Now could this jsut be a bad translation. Just a theory. Like say for example Kung Fu, Bruce Lee first used the term Kung Fu to describe his methods of combat. From what I understand Kung Fu means intense training. There for a medical student would require lots of Kung Fu to become a doctor. So just guessing but your centre is your abdominal and pelvic region. So is it possible that this energy just comes from the twisiting of the abdominals and hips. "you have to get your hip into it" Bruce Lee- Return of the Dragon
  12. Hi Im new here ive been Interested in Martial Arts for a long time. Havnt really done to much just some rasslin. I learned most of my fighting techniques the hard way getting beat up probably about 200 times.
