I like the white and black belt only. Unfortunately, in the good 'ol US of A we need to see progress. We only have 1. white (1,2) 2. yellow (1,2) 3. blue (1,2) 4. brown (1,2,3) 5. and of course black. This ends our intrusion, now back to our regularly scheduled program.

I would like to add to this forum that there is nothing wrong with defending yourself. There are 2 kinds of attack. Spiritual and physical. When the spiritual doesn't work for someone, they turn to the physical. A true master of an art is one who can successfully defend themself without causing any permant physical injury to the attacker with the chance to teach them the true way. You are missing one. The one founded by Choi, Young-Sool. The founder of the art. Growing up in Korea, you can trust my information. If you are offended by this information, I am sorry. This may be a jagged little pill for some to swallow. The Original Style of hapkido is called by three basic names. YooKwonSool, HapkiYooKwonSool, and HapkiYooSool. These are the names that our founder and our school in Korea first instructor Choi, Young-Sool used. Our new Chief instructor(since 1970) in Korea is Grandmaster Jang,Young-Shil(9 Dan). It opened in February 2, 1950. It is the same style that we teach at our dojang in Ft. Lauderdale. We just moved to the US from Korea and opening a school on July 1, 2003 at 1594 E. Commercial Blvd. We have a small school now in Hollywood, FL at 6790 Stirling Road in the Sterling Shopping Center acrossed from the new Publix shopping center.
