The reason my friend doesn't want to go to a dojo is because he wants to learn kung fu or any kind of chinese art. We live in a rural area so most the place around here are little tai kwan do places. I was lucky enuff to find an Isshinryu dojo about a half hour away from where I live.
I was an a situation similer to that back when i was shotokan. I dreaded sparring with this one boy who always beat the heck out of me but in the end i found out that it only made me a better fighter. what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger
hello everyone, I was just curious but I have a friend who has just gotten into martial arts and has bought a whole set of kung fu instructional video's. Do yall think that someone could really turn into a good martial artist this way??
hello everyone I've been sparring for awhile and i can perform most of my moves the right way. My problem is that im not very good at anticipating on what my partner will do next. My reflexes and very good! Is there any thing i can do to try and get faster reflexes?
I would love to go see that tournament!!!! I live in arkansas so it's not very often that you get to see any isshinryu tournaments. Im lucky that there's actually a dojo out here!!
Hello everyone!, I'm currently a student in Isshinryu and I've been reading many posts and I havn't seen very many Isshinryu posts. Is there any other Isshinryu karateka's around. Just curious thanx!
