  1. I would try to pass his guard with the only technique I've learned thus far. If that didn't work.... I would scream like a little girl and call for my mommy. j/k
  2. I agree. BJJ-White Belt Shotokan-Green belt (white white w/stripe yellow green, etc) TKD- Yellow belt (white/yellow/I forget what was after yellow)
  3. I've always wondered if those were any good. After you view them you'll have to let us know what you think of them.
  4. Started at age 12 (1987) but it's been off and on snce then.
  5. I would say Jet Li. Despite Royce Gracie's success and what he has done for Martial Arts, i'm still amazed at how many people here locally have never heard of him.
  6. I agree with SubmissionFighter. Make a list of available styles in your area. I would list them in order of interest. Then after you've made the list of styles that are available, check them out. You may visit a dojo and realize that maybe it's not geared towards your goals. Say your primary focus is self defense, and that particular school focuses on the sporty side. Things like that.
  7. Glad I stumbled across this site. Hello to all, I yield from Dallas, TX (originally from Mississippi) and i'm currently studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I'm 27 (turn 28 in July) and I have previous experience (mid 80's) in Shotokan and in TKD (mid 90's).
