long story short, standing by myself, outside a mall, three guys around 15 or 16 yrs old threw snowballs at me, swore at me , i approached them asked what the problem was, they asked if i wanted a fight. I elbowed the guy in front of me as soon as he said that. The other 2 people who were next to him just stepped back. than i left the scene. im 17 by the way, so it will be charged in juvenille court, if tried at all what would you have done?

yes, him slapping you is a huge deal i would have attacked him right than and there, and people make fun of me all the time about martial arts, but only my close friends know. i decided to keep it that way because, even noone should know, about your martial arts training. i find its better to keep it a secret. it prevents things like" oh ya my friend is a bb he'll kick your ass" , this has happened to me before. you should make an example of this guy but do not provoke an attack if he slaps you than you can use what force you think is necessary to defend yourself. good luck

we're talking about hundreds, maybe even one or two thousand years. gung fu is that old, now if you look at mma its new and it will be always be new, because it continues to evolve. when is it that you see a few kung fu masters coming up with new stuff almost never, because they practice their forms, that are centuries old and some of them are outdated and don't work, as we have seen in mma events. this is oppose to lets say bjj teachers who change and develop new stuff on a weekly basis and fifteen years from now mma will not be " ancient" because it isn't.

i was at a party this weekend i had a few drinks,............. than a guy came and pushed me ......... i gave him a firemans carry(don't know the japanese name) than an omoplata, than i transitioned into an armbar and he tapped than his friend came and attacked me , .......i choked him out via rearnaked choke. just because he said bjj doesn't work against more than one person. well theres an example of where it did work. thoughts? opinions? p.s. I love being skilled in martial arts.

Shoot Fighting
JIUJITSUFIGHTER replied to PhilM1's topic in MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Competitive Fighting
shootfighting or shoot is a combination of karate/judo/muaythai and german wrestling. it was formed in japan, when 3 guys (i think) came together and formed it. although you better watch out because shooto/shootfighting is not the same as shootboxing. erik paulson or bart vale are good examples of shootfighting. and to answer your question shootfighting is a good blend of mma fighting. -

JIUJITSUFIGHTER replied to PhilM1's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
bjj is an amazing art even with full contact rules or no rules at all i have used it against other highly trained martial artists and they did not even stand a chance. -
Countering the BJJ fighter
JIUJITSUFIGHTER replied to ZR440's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
ok i get what your trying to say, shotokanwarrior and it sounds good to me ill have to try it, but you have to undertsand that in bjj there is always another option,we have have more techniques for the same situation up our sleeve. -
Best martial art.
JIUJITSUFIGHTER replied to robodjs's topic in Choosing a Martial Art, Comparing Styles, and Cross-Training
they are a few best ones that i can think of, bjj, muay thai, jujutsu, silat, kajukenbo, jeet kune do, combat submission wrestling, kali etc.... -
tank abbot continues to get his a$$ kicked on a regualr basis. and yes smith and wesson , i like the way you think. but i have studied a little jujutsu with my ninpo training and it seems to be pretty good. aiki-jujutsu if taught well is a good style of combat and so is bjj. but to train in them both is a little bit too much. (full plate).

very interesting but , I HAVE STUDIED BLAUER TACTICAL CONFRONTATION SYSTEMS, because its based in montreal, quebec, canada, where i live, and i have trained under tony himself and if this system of combat is anything like blauers system i would stay away. because that was a major scam to take my money. it gave me no technical ability at all. jeet kune do has a training method that trains you to fight example: boxing v.s. knife fighting knife fighting v.s. kicking , and so on........... so this is definately a revolution in the martial arts community. they train they're fighters to be prepared for any situation, they don't just claim to do so.
