  1. does anyone know what style of martial arts is taught at united family martial arts is it american kenpo?
  2. would training in gojuryu and bujikan be a good or bad idea would they conflict with each other
  3. hi i was wondering can you learn japanese jiu jitsu from 18 year olds the main instructor is a seventh dan but the assitant instructors mainly teach the class they have ten years of expiernce but the class has 12 to 15 year olds in the class can i learn japanese jiu jitsu in that enviorment im 29 so its a bit weird

  5. i train in gojuryu karate i have a friend whos a fourth dan in aikido he offered to train me for free in aikido and ill teach him some stuff but i dont know if its a good idea he said he would teach me three times a week should i do it or would it hurt my gojuryu
  6. well what my friend told me sports jiujitsu has punches and kicks and you can only grapple on the ground for 30 secs i think that limits what you can do on the ground but he says it like the street you dont want to be on the ground
  7. my friend argues with me that sports jiujitsu is more of a challenge than judo because sports jiujitsu focuses on more ranges but i belive its tougher in judo because an ippon can mean an instant win plus you can improve better in judo because your only focus on throws and ground any thoughts on it

  10. i have been practicing wing chun for over 3 years but before i trained goju ryu karate i went back to my karate school and forgot how much i missed training there so i wanted to train karate too i told both of my teachers my plans my sensai is ok with it as long as i have time for both commients, which i do but my sifu is against it telling me i got to decide which one is more important and crosstraining is bad he said i would be good but not great but the whole time i was in wing chun i trained my karate still im sort of leaning towards going back to karate school
  11. thank you for the replys sensai 8 i practiced gojuryu for 2 years before than i was away for 4 years so i ended up practicing wing chun for 3 years and 3 months i miss karate but i dont want to leave wing chun i think that both arts have benfits
  12. im a wing chun practiconer for over 3 years but my first martial arts was goju ryu karate im thinking about practicing it again to help my martial arts is this a good idea or bad
