It is really personal preference. I have done both ways, but mainly do where a T shirt under. Have attended a class where a few ladies did not and that was interesting.

As one person said it is the Instructor that makes it. Both styles with right instructor is great. I would visit each school and observe a few classes, the decided which is more of a fit for what you want.
