  1. In our dojo its white for anyone who has not yet achieved their black belt. no real stipulations on brand but must have club badge affixed. must also be without crease. Although there is this one guy who almost never irons his gi. black pants and white top are worn by all who have their black belt.
  2. Hi to all from Australia, my question is what is a mc dojo? people refer to these quite often, teachings not in line with other schools? sensei not registered? school not registered?
  3. Unfortunate or fortunate?? mine is not yet a great story, i took up karate because i was lazy and undiciplined, saw an add in the local gazette for a new dojo opening near my home and thought, might just be time to get off my lazy A#@e and with the help of my sensei and all at the dojo im working hard in achieving my goals. ATM i dont wanna leave my dojo.
  4. thanks for the welcome.
  5. Hi sensei8, as im just starting out im unsure as to the value, i guess it equates to 76 a month for up to 7 and a half hours of training per week(although im just going 3 nights atm) good value or not so good?
  6. ive been training for around 4 months and have been told i will test in the next grading and what i find my sensei talking about alot is muscle memory, this is the reasons why we do drills(for loss of a better word)in the dojo, and i also find that i favour one side of my body but still try to incorporate the other side. and trusting in my sensei will work hard at drills to help with the balance and power on my not so dominant side. trust your sensei he works from a very successful set of techniques
  7. my first lesson is $13, second $6 and any other sessions after that are free, I can train up to 5 night per week sessions are 1and a half hours
