  1. True, that's what my video has. I have them in slow form and normal, and different angles (but I didn't put them all on the computer).
  2. I'm making video clips of the first four katas in Goju Ryu. My sensei recorded a video tape once with them and other things on it, so we could learn from it outside of class too. So I'm putting them on my computer through webcam (it works surprisingly). I can email them to anyone if they want. Just let me know here or by email. They're in .wmv format for now - with no sound. I'll put them in .avi formant another time (but those are larger in size).
  3. Okay no problem then. I'll see what I can do on my end eventually.
  4. I'm on my friends computer and the photo album looks exactly the same as on mine. Patrick you said you uploaded something new. The last pic it displays to be new is: Sun Mar 02, 2003 1:40 pm Poster: diamondick Pic Title: My pic practicing So I'm not sure what's wrong, lol. Just letting you know though. I would try uploading a pic if I had one on this computer.
  5. It tells me: "Chestnut Tree, The Honesty Of unusual beauty, does not want to impress, well-developed sense of justice, vivacious, interested, a born diplomat, but irritate and sensitive in company, often due to a lack of self-confidence, acts sometimes superior, feels not understood, loves only once, has difficulties in finding a partner." ^ for your entertainment. I don't think it's really me though
  6. Internet Explorer 6.0, on Windows XP
  7. Yes, but I still can't upload. Though the pictures display in fullsize, like you suggested.
  8. In that case the album doesn't work on my browser anymore. Most of the images are shown as corrupt (x) and I haven't seen a new one there for a few days. Maybe something on my end then.
  9. Well when was the last time you uploaded?
  10. It doesn't work (I tried uploadng a pic).
  11. I tried it a few times since I didn't feel as relaxed and focused as I should. I felt the brow centre concentrate(the pressured fingers feeling) when I focused on intaking energy/breath into it. As I followed the breath down my body I didn't feel much flow, but I stored/concentrated it at the abdomen once it got there. Then as I exhaled and directed the energy down through my legs I felt a stronger flow. [Flow, meaning it's like a current of vibration inside the specified area.] When it left through the soles of my feet they began to tingle gradually. They're still active with the charged tingling. Also if I just think about my forehead I'll feel the pressurized feeling now. I'm thinking I could have had better results, so maybe I'll try again when I have more free time and less school work.
  12. JerryLove, your point is well noted. It's a bit too late for preventing injuries though, as I've injured myself a few times... but it's helped me understand how the circulation of this force(to be general about the term) works. As well as how to manipulate it 'rather' safely - I still experiment cautiously. tkdlegend, I've been messing around with it since I was a child to be honest. I don't really know why or how it started happening so early. I recall discovering that I could concentrate tingles on my fingertips, then my fingers, and sometimes including parts of my palms. I also recall experiencing sensations on the middle of my forehead. To describe it: invisible fingers pushing through my forehead gently on one spot ... or sometimes it would feel like a concentrated pulsating beat. It didn't hurt but sometimes it would feel like there was a lot of pressure on one spot.. It would be annoying so I would massage my forehead to get the feeling to leave. Those are the two things I can remember clearly happening a few times. The concentrated forehead sensations happened a lot though. No it wasn't a fever, lol. It would be between my eyebrows just above the top of my nose. I eventually figured out how to intensify the sensation by focusing on the spot. To make this a bit more short, I eventually searched online for something called the 'third eye' when I was 12 years old. I remember someone telling me it might be related to that. Surely I found some information, and then it lead to more subjects of this matter. I ended up finding resources on chakras, life force energies (ki/ch'i/qi/prana/etc.), and some psychic information. It was kinda weird I must admit.. but that's how I started to learn about what might be going on. I've been experimenting with different exercises from various belief systems since then (I'm 16 now). I looked into Reiki as well. What gets me a bit confused is how come I've felt this stuff since around 7 years of age (as far as I can remember w/ more detail). Anyway just sharing because of your interest.
  13. I've been reading it on-and-off for a while, mostly to incorporate some of his philosophy into my training outlook. Seems like a great book. I'd say it would go well with anyone's training.. at least to pick up ideas.
  14. Purple(I wear Red instead, lol) Belt - Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate I also had a yellow belt for, I think it was, Shotokan Karate.. though ever since I changed clubs I pretty much let it go. I also had another yellow belt at the YMCA. Then the sensei got fired for being too unorganized I think. She was teaching us Judo techniques, some life force cultivation, and weapons training (the bo mainly) at the same time *sigh* And I'm sure I had another belt for that other place... eh, I can't remember anymore - was too young.
  15. The problem is I haven't been able to locate any Jutsu arts around the area. So I'll have to read into it if I want to learn more about the art (while I'm at it, do you recommend any websites or books?). It's good that you've been able to find the art in your area... but like you implied it is traditional warefare, so it's not easy to come across as you probably know. I'm obviously in Karate-do, though our sensei was born in Japan and raised most of his life in Russia, and he gives us a "good beating" too, lol. I'm guessing the training there is a bit more intense. I wouldn't know, have any ideas? I haven't asked him about his background much.
  16. I'm not certain. The thing is I've been able to, after quite a while of experimentation, stimulate my nervous system with intent and focus simply by will. Most effectively the nerves that run up and down my spine, which then connect to my brain. One example is, I will focus on the back of my head intensely and then feel it out well.. and suddenly it feels as if the nerves become stimulated and a rush of tingles run up and down my spine. It sometimes starts from the back of my brain, or it just builds up when the flow travel up my spine. Maybe they're fluids as well? I have no idea. From what I'm aware, theoretically I should be able to do this...? I'm not imagining it either (it's not all in my head), because sometimes the flow is so strong it jerks my posture. I'll be laying back in a chair experimenting with the feeling and then suddenly I'll get it flowing intensely.. and when it rushes up and down the top of my spine, I'm jerked to a sitting up straight posture. It feels like fluids to tell you the truth. There's no real practical application for that, so what the? lol. The only odd things that have happened is I'm left feeling very energetically refreshed in some cases, and also in a happy state. It's like a self-induced drug haha. Also I've been able to direct the tingles down my arms before and then it feels as if there's a build up there. My palms can become pretty damn dry when I try to push the feeling/buildup-of-tingles out of them. (which is weird). I've never asked my doctor about it though, being paranoid and all.
  17. Heyy, thanks for all the replies.
  18. I'll just list one, since it's the only one I'm sure I'll like for life ' The Matrix '
  19. Hey I thought I'd introduce myself. First of all this seems like a pretty cool forum, which is what motivated me to join. I'm just gonna hang around and see what inspires me. Personally I've been taking Karate for over seven years (with breaks inbetween - because of changing clubs, clubs closing down, or sensai's getting fired -_-). I've ended up in Goju Ryu Karate though. I'm satisfied with it, so hopefully nothing spontaniously messed up happens again. I'm also highly interested in the internal arts, and applying life force teachings to the physical arts (such as Karate). Well, cya around. Laytah
