He trained in Shukokai and my son is doing Shokotan, it wasn't something he has volunteered for they have really played the emotional blackmail card - your son will only be able to grade every 6m rather than 3m unless you help run a second class. He has been told he will be able to take the black belt in Shokotan if he produces his license and he wont be running the class alone. He's kept really fit and has been competing in MMA fights so its not as if he has been sat on his bum for 20 years, his own style is still as natural to him as it was back in the day. We have been searching the house and just cant find this bloomin license now and it a bit embarrassing lol! Thanks for your replies. ps As for his old club his instructor has now passed away so the club no longer exists!

Hi Just looking for some help/advice before we go back to the club.... My husband gained his 2nd dan black belt some 20 years ago at the time he had been very dedicated for a lot of years. Life moved on he stopped going as you do sometimes, he's the grand old age of 47 now with a 6 year old son, he started him going to Karate just before his 5th Birthday and he is now orange belt Shokotan. The classes run twice weekly and my husband trains (more just for fun) with his son. However one of the classes will be closing at the end of August and as they need to get two lesons in weekly for the grading they have asked my husband if he will help run the class! Now we cant find his licence is there anything like a registry office where we can apply for a duplicate does anyone know? Thanks in advance Janey
