  1. I think when opponent reaches for a rappel so, quickly shoot single whiel across the body. So, it's an effective move for defense or attack and when opponent gets grip then try to use high collar grip under combos. This moves are top takedowns for BJJ.
  2. I would consider this as an ideal idea to joining Judo training. To, train under Judo expert can be precious for you because, it needs great physical strength. So, starting judo training is eventually good for you and practicing Judo could be effective workout for you as well.
  3. Did you ever mention what style and lineage you had studied? What tactics does your school prefer? No, Actually I am trained under a personal trainer for the technique of Karate. I was just enhancing my knowledge about Japanese jiu-jitsu. So, may be you are getting me wrong but, my intention wasn't anything wrong about Japanese jiu-jitsu technique.
  4. I want to suggest you here that rather than thinking about too much to work with old woman. You must join with her to train under an expert of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu because it's a great Martial Art technique for self defense and I also believe that every girls should take this training for them own self defense.
  5. Even, I also think that Brazilian Jiu-jitsu is more interesting Martial Art techniques than the Judo. In, BJJ there is some fantastic moves for our self defense. One of my fried is train under Judo expert and he is also switching his training for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
  6. Japanese Jiujitsu is eventually a great technique of Martial Art. I would say that this is a great Japanese technique for self defense. This technique manipulating the opposition force towards us. In this time Jiu-jitsu is practice for traditional and modern sport.
  7. I want to suggest you here that for home practising if you are willing to take interest to read books. So, Gracie jiu-jitsu books can be worth for you because, there is enough information in this book about Martial Art techniques specially about Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Japanese jiu-jitsu and other Martial Arts techniques programmes as well.
  8. Definitely, bushido you are correct here that earning belt still motivated and although more inspiring for willing to get more belts.
  9. How is Karate "quicker" to learn than any of the others mentioned?Generally, Beginners starting to take Martial art training with Karate and I also feel that it's easy to learn Karate moves. Jiu-jitsu training is tricky business to learn so, I think that Karate can be more quicker. I think I would have to disagree with you here. I work on teaching kids all the time in TKD, and see how much work it can be to get some of the more technical aspects of body motions down. Side kicks are especially tough to iron out from a technical standpoint, and the coordination of two moving arms in most hand techniques takes some time, as well.I also have a son who Wrestles. Now these kids get on the mat, start reviewing techniques, like takedowns, reversals, stand-ups, etc, and after going through the motions for some reps, they start working the reps with partners, then Wrestle live. Things move a lot faster, and they get more productive reps, and I really think that helps them pick things up faster. Now, I am not saying that grappling is easy to pick up. I do think, however, that most grappling environments are more conducive to a quicker learning curve. Ok, than probably I have to eat my words here and it's great information for me because, I am also a beginner who recently started to take Karate training. So, it's absolutely worth information for me about TKD as well.

  11. I am not completely sure what you are saying here, and I do not want to misunderstand you. I am not sure what you mean by "enforcement training", since that sounds like training for police. Also, I do not know what you mean when you say that theme based music is good, but that all loud music will break focus. What kind of music do you mean by "theme music" that will not break focus? Do you mean movie themes, or something else?Simply, I was trying to say that thrash and black metal music terms are quite slow music and which can be good while practising Martai art techniques.
  12. Are you saying that people who skip belts will not learn the skills they need for the belt that they are skipping? I can see that if each belt has specific skills that you have to show for each level. Have you seen any examples of that? I know that not all schools divide belts by specific skills. For someone just beginning training, I do believe the belt system can be a motivational aspect of training. It was for me when I was young. However, if someone has 20 years of experience in a style and then goes to train in another, it could be that the belt isn't the motivator, and the knowledge is. I also view the idea of skipping rank to how it relates to the rest of the student body. If you have a 2nd dan black belt of a TKD style come into another style of TKD school, and has great technique, picks up all the forms fast and does really well, is it right that they should move up through all the ranks one at a time when they are clearly head and shoulders above their peers? Now, if you really crossing up your styles, like TKD black belt moving to Judo, then you will see the noticeable difference between knowledge base. The kicking and punching won't translate as well to throwing. No need to bump ranks there. Now, lets look at if from a different aspect; competition. If your TKD guy transferred from another TKD school, holds a 2nd dan, and you keep him at white belt, and he wants to go compete in your style, is it fair to allow him to compete with other lower ranked students? So, when it comes to the skipping rank issue, I think its important to evaluate the totality of the circumstances involved with the transfer of these students, and the instructor should make an informed decision. I am agree with you that belt system is motivational and I was exactly trying to say that Belts are inspiration for beginners and they feel something worth achievement to get belt. So, skipping belts is eventually not good idea.
  13. This is absolutely effective Karate techniques and I must say that this Martial Art is amazing for self defence. So, Karate is basically a basic technique normally beginners must learn this for protection yourself.
  14. I think you have to give him proper guidance about what benefits beyond progressing of 1kyu. I think you in this situation you just deal with good presence of mind and try to convince him to doing continue of training session.
  15. Martial Art is incredibly enforcement training and you must need focusing while practising and absolutely amazing concentration also must. So, listening loud music can be silly thing and it also brake your focus during Martial Art practice. So, listening theme based music is quite good enough.
