Why not just cut it? Easy enough to sew the end, but not necessary. Or dip some glue on the end. Don't put it in the laundry.

I am selling a new heavy weight 100@cotton gi - size 5. Is it reasonable to say: If you wear a size 5 cotton-poly, this will fit you, but you must hang to dry. If you wear a size 4 cotton-poly, this will fit you after drying with heat.
