  1. Martial Arts is my saviour to life lol. You shouldn't have to spar if you don't want to. Just go your own pace and whenever you're ready to spar, than spar. And I guarantee you, you'll be motivated and have a boost of confidence when that time comes ! Osuuuu
  2. I agree but if you love MA and want to learn as much arts as you can that isn't bad, what interested me most is I wanted to learn where each and every art I train in came from. Who started it, where did it come from, why was it started etc. I train in 10 diff arts but I'm a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu guy. No disrespect to all the other arts but that's what I blended in the most effectively and faster. I still train Kyokushin, & Shotokan, Judo and all the other arts that been in my life and basically saved my life. But knowing more knowledge doesn't hurt.
  3. My master is Master MacNeil (4th Dan) who is under Master Carabin (7th Dan)
  4. Oh I won't teach every student alone !!! Like private lessons. Ill teach in groups. The ppl I train now their are maybe 15 of them ? Give or take. The method is like this. Stretch, warm up all together. Then we use go over 2 techniques in an hour. Whether its a sweep, pass, submissions, transitions, or whatever I will demonstrate with my highest level student then the whole group watches and does it. If they have any questions or concern they ask. That's about it. I think what he's asking is how where will you fit in the time slots for all these classes? Will you be holding four or five adult classes a day in addition to kids' classes? But I'd be doing most of the classes. But not all cuz I'm only human right. I am not doing an adults class/advanced class when I start. I will only determine that after I see the numbers I have. I know not everyone will be satisfied with those hours that's why I'd ask everyone what would be suitable for them. A lot of ppl want me to open up the school because they "like" my style. And the way I teach works, a girl used my techniques when someone tried to rape her. She used some Gracie Jiu-Jitsu techniques I showed her and I was so flattered. So that was a big confidence booster, big confidence booster for the girl that performed those techniques in a self Defense situation also. So proud of her

  6. Thank you sir. And yes I have one specific curriculum for each and every art. A lot of requirements also. I will never mix two arts together. If one of the students would want to fight amateur well then yes. But except that I am all out traditional.
  7. One of my dreams is to open up my own martial arts school. I am teaching students of all ages but not in a school. Just on my spare time. I currently train in 10 different martial arts. And have a schedule for each and everyone of the students that want to learn. I never train a fighter the same way. But if I open my school it will be strictly same training as everyone else. I was just wondering what advice do you guys have for me ? The schedule is set. I am I'm negotiations for a small building that's perfectly sized that I could rent. Just want to hear your advice and tips. Thanks ! OSSSUUU
  8. I know where you're coming from. I'm a GJJ BB also, safe training & keep it playful ! Oooosssuuu
  9. My professors saying is this. "Position before submission, no matter what". Email me, shannalizermma@hotmail.com & ill give you tips and ways to get techniques better & faster
  10. One of my good buddies just bought a 10 DVD set. It's called Sergio "Babu" Gasparelli BJJ mastermind series. Try that, maybe, I never watched it but apparently it's wicked details to each technique. No GI & GI also.
  11. Here is one we work on all the time. Enjoy . That's what we call the Shaolin sweep.
  12. Who is your BJJ/GJJ hero? Mine is professor Pedro Sauer. I love his method of teaching and his techniques are so effortless & so powerful
  13. Arm drag to Heimlich takedown. Or the simple tomoe nage (hip throw) simple & basic. All depends on what my opponent gives me standing up Cheers !
