  1. if u do practice it what conditioning do u do?
  2. Anybody practice/condition Phoenix Eye?
  3. I do agree that from instructor to instructor stance ideas are going to be defferrent. Your whole body should be in motion which makes it easier to react to your attacker (notice I say attacker, not opponent). I don't have an instructor, but I have enough experience to make up for it. Your stance should be natural. For years I fought southpaw (still do) and never knew it until I read Lee's book and that was natural. Try and find your natural stance.
  4. I haven't had any formal training, but I have been alot of gang and prison fights so I do know what to look for and here are some good sites with pictures of techs. Have fun. http://www.judoinfo.com/ http://www.sifugrados.com/technique.shtml http://www.taporsnap.net/techs.html http://130.88.201.32/technique_pages1.htm http://martialarts.mybravenet.com/streetselfdefense.htm http://martialarts.mybravenet.com/streetselfdefense.htm http://www.practical-martial-arts.co.uk/ https://www.shoto.com These are pretty good. The best thing I can tell you is try these techs. and when your friends get out of line try the effectivness of the techs. on them, that's what I do. We practice by having submission sessions. Boys will be boys.
  5. Your stance is your defense. You should distribute your weight 50/50. Your heels should be off the ground, doesn't matter how high just off the ground. You should bounce (as if jumping rope) to keep your body in constant motion and so your attacker doesn't know where your going to attack from. That should be your stance. Whether you put one foot forward and which one is all up to you, but these are the important basics when it comes to your fighting stance
