hi guys i have my first competition coming up in jan and when i sparr with my instructor he says i telegraph my shots he can see them a mile away how can i stop this. the comp is an open comp and i will be doing kata and kumite any tips gladely accepted. i study shotokan and ill be orange belt and im 34 yrs young.

i have emailed my sensei and he is in the process or registering with ITKA and is happy about the comp and tournaments

i will mention it to my sensei . any suggestions on what sites to look at for list of comps and tournements.

i know it will be a way off yet as im just starting back in karate but i plan on doing comps and tournements,and becoming an instructor . my question is what dan do i need to be. can i dothe comps and tournies on my own as not sure if club is going to take part in these . kinda thinking if i have a goal it will encourage me to train harder and do better
