  1. My Sensei/Si fu (Sensei in ninpo/ninjitsu system and Si fu in Northern Tiger Gung Fu) left me and since I started towards MMA type cross training 1.5 years ago I have started replacing what didn't work with my styles. I have since learned a lot of Capoeira, and a little wing chun stuff, BJJ (rocks!!!) and Jow Gar Kung Fu and plain old boxing. Since I lack a mentor it is a little harder My former Sensei/Si fu trained with me 11 hours out of a day. But I am in the process of making a movie with some Jow Gar and MMA guys and they are instructors we train monday weds and fri 8pm-11pm. Like i said i woudl still appreciate and wing chun instructional vids or jow gar or drunken fist. I am open to pretty much whatever instruction videos people have on pc and are willing to share I am also on Direct Connect hubs with DC++ if ya wanna PM me about that i have tons of vids too I mean I had 1 and a half years to acquire em including BJJ stuff. 2. I was wondering... all of you guys have practical advice why not share the knowledge with AVIs or MPGs like on a website somewhere. Free Obviously, Information should be free. I say this because some people learn visually and others by reading. I think seeing it in words that sounds cool but I don't have a clue what it looks like or how to do it. alot of us are interested in Muay Thai but there are no Instructors near where we live just a thought maybe some beginning kicks or something, stretches.
  3. I was just wondering if anyone used them for practical application I hear of them being used for blocking and attacks and was wondering if anyone else knows anything of techniques for them and if they really are that great for combat and stuff I have used them for climbimg the shuko I am referring to aren't the mail order ones you see on the web and in magazines but real ones made the traditional way I suppose the mail order ones could be used for some applications but not for climbing LOL Input?
  4. http://ninjitsu.com/video_gallery.html It is an ok instructional area of American Ninja (lol) But I very much so do respect sensei tew and I may even someday also train under him I have heard great things of him from 2 different masters and have great respect for him his program is not a cookie cutter program he really puts one on one work with you and they do teach alot of REAL ninja skill so if you do not have the luxury of a private instructor and are interested in Ninjitsu check it out Some nunchaku instruction videos on there also he has at home programs but I don't know if I buy the quality of those soo up to you just tryin to help And whatever art you do choose Enjoy it and guard it.
  5. Ummm do you think a dress shop would write out exact instructions or just point me in the right direction??? I'm a very good seamster(If thats even a word I figure seamstress doesnt work Heh ) But I'm a little nervous undergoing such a task For me it HAS to be perfect
  6. Any body know where I can find free instructions on making a hakama? Anyone ever made one in the past? My Sensei told me I have come to the point where I can wear a hakama But traditional Ninjitsu says Everything You use in Ninjitsu must be made and since my sensei was trained by descendants of Iga Ryu Ninja and sticks to traditional beliefs. Therefore, the only way I can take pleasure in the privilege and honor of wearing one I must make it. Please help... Thank you!
  7. LOFL thats what i thought

  9. I figure my gung fu training is as far along as i dare go since if i do rank to black i will be registered as a deadly weapon and dont want that so i want to switch styles Ninjitsu isnt what my master is most adept in so i talked to him and he said aikido would be good but i want something a lil mroe aggressive I doubt there are any praying mantis around here im in Michigan thanks for advice all of you
  10. I have thought about changing styles because I have found myself Doing Muay Thai type stuff in My ninjitsu/Gung fu training Example: I always find myself in the coil position I don't know what you call it in muay thai but in ninjitsu that is what we call it Standing on one leg good balance one knee up leg pointed down foot pointed towards ground as high up as knee will allow body pushed together a lil so knee can go higher Any suggestions? Any recommendations?
