I'm a 2nd degree black belt in Tang Soo Do/Korean Karate, and my kicks, punches, and techniques are all pretty strong. But one thing I never really focused on was the speed of my kicks. So now I really want to focus on getting them faster. I've heard from some places that using ankle weights are not good for kicking because they force the weight down instead of forcing the weight against the kick. I've heard of these things called kinetic bands though that are like resistance bands but they are strapped onto your thighs and they provide resistance. Have you guys heard of that? If you haven't, what can I do to get my kicks faster?
