Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-Do GoshinKai Facebook Page In Memoriam Grand Master Frank Van Lenten December 4, 1935 – July 1, 2010 Today recalls sad memories of the passing of our beloved Sensei and friend. Although the year has gone by, he is in our thoughts daily and there remains a heartache for him. Many happy times training in the dojo and fond memories of O’Shihan Van Lenten linger in our minds. We are honored and privileged to have known him, and we will forever treasure the gift of martial arts and the legacy that he has left behind. We thank him for his words of encouragement, the wisdom he so freely shared, our goals and dreams that he helped us achieve and the footsteps that he left for us to follow. Words are inadequate, but the memories we have run deep and we ask our fellow karate-ka and friends to light a candle at sunset in remembrance of Grand Master Van Lenten.
