Jiu-Jitsu versus Judo
grav3h3art replied to BuJoLd's topic in BJJ, Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido, and Grappling Martial Arts
what if a white belt beats a black belt in Ne-waza??? does that mean that the white belt that has no/little "formal" training on the ground game better than a black belt that has tons of experience on that aspect? I mean its not the rank you have but the fighter himself that makes the difference. This applies to all martial arts and self defense. Many times people go more on rank and experience but sometimes talent and perseverance makes people win bouts that nobody thought possible for that person. -

ive checked the site when i joined the club540 site... guess i need to start doing the first basic moves and then move on from there... hand stands = cart wheels = spin kicks = kip ups = simple jump spins = 360 kick = 540 kick = back flip = aerial = butterfly twist = doubleleg = imma work on those xD

What weapon do you actually carry?
grav3h3art replied to pressureguy's topic in Martial Arts Weapons
all i need is a YAWARA -
well, i still cant land a 540 kick therefore i kinda get frustrated at it... my 360 kick is good but i seem to not get the extra twist. I kinda use my shoulders for hte twist but who knows how to do it. Guess i need someone who knows how to do it and instruct me

nice.... jumping trusting kick to the face that connects = opponent lying on the floor out cold xD

ahmm.... simple stuff as well, even though i can use my hands i simply use them for feints and kick my way to victory mae geri, mawashi geri, ushiro mawashi geri, zenpo geri but my fave move is a a mid mawashi geri then pull it all the way up in a diagonal fashion to do a kakato geri and if it doesnt connect without dropping the leg go for mawashi geri to the head.... the thing is after doing it a couple of times people learn the pattern and it stops connecting. When that happens i put a ushiro mawashi geri at the end.

we are allowed to use our elbows in our dojo. I like to use my two elbows and press the thighs to break the rubber guard but you have to be quick in moving your head coz you might get cought in a double armbar or triangle choke. There are other ways of breaking the rubber guard that i know but i like sticking to whats comfortable to me. We dont do BJJ but we incorporate Jujitsu in our Ne-wasa and its always cool to learn new techniques. By the way....grinding elbows on your neck or face aint cool D:
