to be honest if you want the karate one which has been transformed over hundreds of years to make it a vicious attack, proberly one of the most powerful kicks 1. from closed parallel stance head turned to the side(where your kicking) knees slightly bent., 2.lift right knee, bringing right foot to the side of the supporting knee. 3. extend leg out to the side
well that kinda sucks but you know, i started judo where the first thing to do is learn to breakfall to spread your weight out...if you want to know how to break fall you realy should go on youtube where loads of people can tell you how to fall...learning how to fall gives you an idea of how soft it actualy is even fallung rom a head hight....i EXTREMELY recomend learning to breakfall, go with the throw not against it and it will be ok
well i have a medium/heavy karate suit which is realy good for looks but is incredibly warm in the summer, my judo suit is about three times heavier and double as thick...i would never waree that to karate, one it realy doesnt look right and two its too heavy for fast attacks and blocks
hey some websites say that a makiwara shouldnt be used by kids becuase it could damage your growth plates? i am 13 and i want to know if i should or shouldnt use one??
well i have an opro sheild gold level...about £16 for karate, it hasnt let me down but ive only realy been hit lightly with it in.... a very cheap one isnt going to give you protection...its actualy meant to stop you from your brain shaking when you get hit in the teeth(it happens).....but the best would defonatly be goig to get one made from the dentist:D
the hand should twist at excactly moment of impact....it can move organs and to real damage. its also a vital part of 'kime' doing it at the last second and tensing all muscles at moment it hits its target some teach to twist in middle but its not as strong.
hey....as a student. i like it when the instructor does something fun with it. try putting it into self defense and things like that also try to help people use it in kumite......also teach kizami geri(kicking with front leg) and tobi migeri(jumping)
i think i want a Hirota extra thick and wide satin black belt. im a first dan and have a blitz belt. i just want to know the benifits of each type and excatly how satin, silk and cotton belts wear down. thanks
