  1. Personally I don't think anyone can be a true "master" the word master means you've achieved perfection. Has anyone actually gotten to the point where there is no room for improvement? Just seems overused to me. Just my opinion though.
  2. I have to agree with this one... although I blame the commercialism of the martial arts on this. A Kiai was made to "stun" your opponent, how ever if that's all your doing, it sort of takes away the surprise effect and therefore is not as effective!
  3. I would say if it's a two or more to one situation, and you know there's no way to escape. Don't even hesitate ... and don't stop at the first punch make sure you get the second, third ,and fourth in.
  4. By reading some of these posts, I think some of you need to train in Asia for a bit. MAs training is as much a character building thing as it is a physical training thing.
  5. I would have to say, I imagine it works on some people. The only reason I say this is because the mind make people react funny. Think about it. Voodoo is useless against people who don't believe in it. however those who believe strongly are affected by curses. It is simply the mind that governs. So If you believe in the so called CHI KNOCKOUT, I imagine it may work on you.
  6. Goju has roots in Chineese arts and some of it's movements are taken from kung fu
  7. I had to join up for this one. There is not much info on this guy because that's the way he wanted it. I know there were some local newspaper articles on him in his home town. But very little else is known mainly due to the fact that the amateur conference he was affiliated with dissolved in 1997 As far as the rumors of him competing in Kendo, I have not heard. What I do know is that if he is, he will most likely do pretty well. I will keep an eye out.
