TKD-BB's Achievements

White Belt

White Belt (1/10)

  1. We have done this drill in many ways. One of my favorites is to let the person in the middle close his/her eyes, everyone in the circle has different pads or with breaking boards. They all take different positions, when you open your eyes, as fast and as concise as you can strike all opponents until going through all of them. The trick is for all people in circle to set up for different angle/height kicks and punches. But as with everyone else this is not for beginners.
  2. Hello, I am a 1st deg BB in the ATA. I have found in this organazation, it depends on what school you go to how they proceed with different procedures. Our school is very strict and the students are very well trained. We do not give out BB's, they are earned. I have almost 20 years experience in the Martial Arts, Kenpo, Isshinryu, Judo, TKD. Our instructors are top quality as is the curriculum. It all depends on where you, please go to several classes and see what you think before you join anywhere, alot of schools are going to this giving Black Belts to anyone, which I do not agree with. Goodluck!!!
  3. The thing I do with my kids, are to practice alot on small blocking pads. Than switch to a 1/2 inch thick pine breaking board. Your instructor should be able to get these from the place they get the 1 inch thick boards. Get there confidence up than let them get up to the 1 inch required for BB. Another thing is, you need to check the 1 inch boards because over time they to get moisture in them and make them more difficult to break. Goodluck!!!
