White Belt (1/10)

  1. you are correct, and my philosophical take These styles were taken from to make a base/foundation from which each individual is to build upon and make their own wooooo my head hurts
  2. Wouldn't it be more correct to say that JKD is based of some of the concepts of these arts, as opposed to the arts themselves? you knit picking? you say tomato i say tamatoe but yes
  3. Dan Inosantos maybe drawing from 20-30 different arts , but jkd is based on WC,fencing and western boxing!! And don't you think, BL being so into finding what works best, would'nt have experimented and studied arts such as BJJ.He was always evolving!!
  4. By using the last three ,it lines up the forearm structure into it's most powerful position. I personally concentrate on my ringer finger knuckle while punching, this wway if i am off a little i'm still hitting within the correct range. As for PT, i also lift weights, abs, cardio along with hvy bag work, wooden dummy drills, footwork drills and classes
  5. Glock, Well, ours is predicated on footwork, trapping. I just startedgoing to a new guy Greg Smith- he is a full instructor under Ted Wong
  6. I have been at it for 6years and i liked the straight forward, no wasted movements that it brings to the table plus it was an outlet for agression left in me from my football days
  7. ^^^ your students are very lucky then to be under your instruction then!!! much respect ying&yang
  8. i think that you will never find a perfect style because perfect never happens. but to create a style that is close to perfect would be great. That it my goal in life to create a style so good that no other style has an advange against it. I have 16 styles under my belt and i am still learning and teaching to better myself. That would be created a way, which may take a life time, that is perfect for you, but will/may not be perfect for me
  9. Yes i do am are a strong jkd expert , i have been doing it for years. if you have any questions please ask. great and i will
  10. i don't believe that there is a perfect individual either, but thats were the fun comes in, the constant strive to develop your own skills to the next level
  11. no style is perfect, it's up to the individual to become their best
  12. considering each situation is different, i would chop the inside of the elbow of the arm on my throat, wrap both arms around the OP and bite his/her chest until they pull away then escape
  13. i train it 4-5times a week, direct and straight forward both on my wooden dummy and on my springarm
  14. Cool, glockmeister maybe we can exchange ideas, i have been doing jkd for 6yrs
