Iron Fist 05
I'm ordering a karate uniform online, but the sizes are this: 0 I have no idea what this means. I'm a size 4 00 in the uniform that i have right now. Which 000 one whould I choose? "By the time I was fifteen, I became a white belt."
G95champ
There should be a sizing chart in the book or on the page you are looking at. (General George S. Pacificshore
Just remember that 0000,000,00,0, and size 1 usually are for kids to pre-teen. Di'DaDeeeee!!!Mind of Mencia
SandanPJ
Most of my 9 year olds wear 1. Sizes 2 and under are for children.
SaiFightsMS
Take a good look at the size chart because the are sometimes very different for different brands of gi's. Most often a size chart will go by height and weight.
hobbitbob
Even with a chart, you can go wrong. I wear a 5 1/2 in Shureido or Meijin, but a 6 in tokaido (remeber, christmas is coming! ). SaiFightsMS
Tokaido does seem to be sized for thinner people. It does seem that there are some brands that run bigger in the waist than others at the "same" size.
BKJ1216
Yeah man I've had a hard time with the size chart. So far i need to lose 40 pounds and grow a foot to fit in a size 8. White Belt- Shudokan Karate
hobbitbob
Believe me, I understand. I have the "Naha-te" build (stocky, yet short arms and legs), therefore I always end up having to have sleeves and pant-legs shortened. According to my height (5'5") I should wear a 3!
